At Assisting Hands® Home Care we understand the importance of your loved one feeling connected during these times that require social distancing. This is why we offer our check-in and companionship services through our Assisting Hands® EnsureCheck™ program.

For those who reside in a nursing home or assisted living facility: Since our caregivers are considered essential workers, we are able to visit your loved one in the facility where they reside and offer companionship through regularly scheduled visits.

Our EnsureCheck program provides a professional caregiver who will visit your loved one for a minimum number of times per week and at a minimum number of hours per visit. Through communication with the facility administrator, we will schedule visits in order to help reduce their sense of loneliness and isolation. We can help them feel more connected to their family and feel more positive during these challenging times.

Our trained caregivers practice the safety guidelines provided by the CDC and any facility protocol that is required for our visit with your loved one.
1. Our caregivers are trained to monitor for changes in mood or mental status and physical appearance – with all of their observations immediately available for relatives through our family-friendly online portal.
2. Some of the ways that our caregivers will provide companionship and assistance is by playing games, encouraging conversations, assisting in phone calls or Facetime with their loved ones, taking walks, and enjoying the outdoors when possible.
3. Our care services can also include daily necessities such as light housecleaning, dressing, and other services to help your loved one manage their day-to-day activities.

For those who reside in a private residence: Our EnsureCheck program provides a professional caregiver who will visit your loved one in their home for a minimum number of times per week and at a minimum number of hours per visit. We also provide supplemental phone calls throughout the week to check-in with your loved one between visits.
Our caregivers are trained to identify areas of concern which are often overlooked by the untrained, but well-intentioned family member or neighbor. We will make sure that your loved one is in good health and spirits and report to you regularly.
Our weekly general services for companionship, homemaking and wellness include:

 Transportation
 Running errands
 Medication reminders
 Safety supervision

Should we notice that your loved one’s health or living conditions are declining we will notify you immediately. If it became necessary, your loved one would be provided with access to our quick-start home care program.
