Overview of Services

Our caregivers provide a wide range of non-medical support tailored to the needs of seniors with Parkinson’s disease. This includes assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting. We also offer mobility support and fall prevention, helping seniors move safely around their home with  the use of mobility aids such as walkers or canes. In addition, our caregivers provide medication reminders to ensure timely and consistent medication management, which may be critical for controlling Parkinson’s symptoms.

Beyond physical assistance, our caregivers offer emotional and cognitive support. Parkinson’s can lead to cognitive changes, including memory loss and anxiety, and our caregivers provide companionship, engaging seniors in meaningful activities that promote mental well-being. We also help with meal preparation and transportation services, ensuring that seniors maintain good nutrition and can attend medical appointments or therapy sessions without added stress.

At Assisting Hands® Dana Point, we are dedicated to providing personalized care that enhances the lives of seniors with Parkinson’s. Our caregivers offer the support needed to manage the physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges of the disease, helping individuals maintain their dignity and independence while living comfortably at home.
