At Assisting Hands® Dana Point, we understand that client needs are unique, especially when it comes to recovery and rehabilitation. Our mission is to provide top-quality, non-medical home care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Our caregivers are trained to assist with daily living activities, medication reminders, and companionship, ensuring that your loved ones can recover in the comfort of their own home. We are committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care that offers peace of mind for clients and their families.
Our services span various stages of recovery, including post-surgery care, long-term recovery, and transitional care. Each type of care is tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients, whether they are recovering from surgery, illness, or transitioning from a hospital stay. Our caregivers work closely with families and healthcare providers to provide the necessary support and maintain continuity of care, while always respecting the limitations of non-medical care.
The post-surgery period is often one of the most vulnerable times for patients, as they transition from hospital care to home recovery. At Assisting Hands® Dana Point, we specialize in post-surgery care, offering support to ensure that clients are safe and comfortable at home. Our caregivers assist with mobility, hygiene, and meal preparation, helping clients with day-to-day needs as they heal.
While our caregivers are trained to observe and report any signs of complications, such as wound infection or medication issues, they do not administer medications or provide direct wound care. Instead, we work in conjunction with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the medical attention they need while maintaining their independence and dignity in a familiar environment.
Recovery care goes beyond immediate post-surgery support, focusing on helping individuals regain their strength and independence over a longer period. This type of care is ideal for seniors recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, who need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Our caregivers are trained to provide emotional and mental support, which is especially important for those who may feel isolated during their recovery.
Our recovery care services also include assistance with physical, occupational and speech therapy exercises prescribed by a licensed therapist, although we do not create or modify these routines. By providing compassionate, consistent care, our team helps clients regain confidence and rebuild their physical and emotional well-being.
Transitional care focuses on ensuring a smooth transition between different care settings, such as moving from a hospital or skilled nursing center to home. At Assisting Hands® Dana Point, we understand how critical this period is for preventing hospital readmissions and ensuring a successful recovery. Our caregivers provide essential support by assisting with safety, medication reminders, and attending follow-up appointments.
While we help manage the logistical aspects of transitional care, such as scheduling appointments and providing transportation, we do not oversee or manage medical care plans. However, our caregivers can monitor general health and well-being, reporting any concerns to healthcare providers and helping families coordinate ongoing care needs.
At Assisting Hands® Dana Point, our goal is to provide personalized, compassionate support at every stage of recovery, ensuring that your loved ones can heal safely and comfortably at home. From post-surgery care to long-term recovery and transitional care, we are here to offer the assistance and companionship needed for a full recovery.
