The Story Behind Assisting Hands® Home Care

Assisting Hands® Home Care was founded with a commitment to offering seniors and others requiring non-medical assistance the opportunity to maintain independence, safety, and comfort in the familiar surroundings of their own homes. This home care franchise is built on the principles of exceptional customer service and highly personalized care tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

The journey began with Dr. Gail Silverstein, a health care leader with over 25 years of experience managing programs in the public and private sectors. Through her professional expertise and personal struggle to find reliable in-home support for her father, Dr. Silverstein recognized a significant gap in services for individuals wishing to age in place. In 2006, she partnered with Cline Waddell in Boise, Idaho, to establish Assisting Hands® Home Care, creating a much-needed solution for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and others seeking quality in-home assistance. Today, Assisting Hands provides flexible services, ranging from a few hours per week to 24/7 care, ensuring clients can remain happy, healthy, and at home.

The Assisting Hands® family of franchise owners now spans communities across the United States and Canada. Franchisees find both professional fulfillment and the satisfaction of meeting the needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities in their local areas, continuing the legacy of care, compassion, and excellence that defines Assisting Hands® Home Care.
